It is a tremendously diverse sector with over 300 species under production, and this is expanding to include many high value marine fish species. Intensively cultured species are more susceptible to bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic diseases.

ADL PRODUCTS

ADL produces monoclonal antibodies, antibody conjugates and Rapid Kits that allow rapid screening for successful fish and shrimp health management.

WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS USED FOR?

AquaMab-P and Rapid Kits

ADL produces a wide range of specific antibodies (AquMab-P) and Rapid Kits that can be applied in the detection of fish and shrimp pathogens.

AquaMab-F and AquaMab-C
ADL produces antibody probes (AquaMab-F) and antibody conjugates (AquaMab-C) to enable the detection of IgM in a range of fish species. The enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) provides a  convenient method for testing large sample numbers. This is extremely useful for broodstock health testing. It also provides tools for monitoring the immune response in fish following vaccination and therefore will assist in the development of vaccines in the future as the more fish species are cultured and new diseases emerge.
